Marketing Journalist

Mad*Pow’s greatest asset is our people. As Mad*Pow’s Marketing Journalist, your main responsibility will be to create compelling content that accurately reflects Mad*Pow’s thought leadership across multiple channels. As a Marketing Journalist, you’ll be supporting our sales team, marketing team, and thought leaders with a variety of original and curated content needs, ranging from managing an editorial calendar to tactical copywriting. This is a full-time position offering a fun and exciting working environment in a rapidly growing company, competitive salary and great benefits. We will only look at candidates who can commute to either our Portsmouth, NH or Boston, MA office.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Interviewing, writing, editing, updating, and overall management of Mad*Pow case studies and the case study process
  • Interviewing and ghost write articles, blog posts, and white papers for our Mad*Pow thought leadership team
  • Editing thought leaders’ presentations for global conferences
  • Creating, curating, and/or editing content for our email newsletters
  • Writing, scheduling, and co-managing our social media content and marketing emails
  • Managing our content strategy calendar and contributing to our overall editorial calendar
  • Strategic contribution to the overall voice and tone of our messaging on our website
  • Writing and editing RFPs for our business development team
  • Producing content to support pitches and sales meetings
  • Creating and managing the Mad*Pow publication

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 1-3 years journalism experience and/or marketing experience
  • Strong listening and workplace communication skills
  • Ability to deliver clear and consistent communication
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize work
  • Experience as a journalist
  • Ability to ask thoughtful, insightful questions in interviews, in order to deliver a valuable piece of writing after a one-hour interview
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once while still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to embrace, and succeed at, work within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
