Kasia SinczakSenior Experience Researcher

Kasia is passionate about crafting intuitive and delightful experiences. She comes to us from Pearson Education and the Bentley User Experience Center.

With a BA in Archaeology and Behavioral Psychology from Boston University, an MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons College, and an MS in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University, Kasia is a solid contender in Mad*Pow’s informal “person with the most degrees” competition. Highlights from Kasia’s various academic pursuits include an archeological dig at an early 19th century utopian community in New Jersey, helping conserve and catalogue Harvard Natural History Museum glass flower exhibit documents and artifacts, and using artifacts uncovered during Boston’s Big Dig to reconstruct 18th century Bostonians’ display of personal identity.

In a previous professional life, Kasia was an information professional who held positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, the Newton Library, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and Boston University Library and Archives. In her experiences, Kasia went head-to-head with many systems designed without usability in mind. Seeing an opportunity to eliminate the frustration and inefficiency caused by these systems, she discovered her calling – UX research – and never looked back.

When she's not using her interpersonal, observational, and analytical skills to dismantle usability roadblocks for our clients, Kasia can be found tending to her indoor garden or travelling and experiencing new cultures (and foods!) around the world.
